"Without my faith in God I know I would not be where I am today. End of story."
There are few men who can take a 1000lb+ squat to respectable depth. There are even few men who will conquer this feat raw. With a monumental 1157lbs raw squat, Vlad would cement his name in history as one of the strongest humans to ever walk this earth. Even with this enormous accomplishment, Vlad has proven his ability to be multi dimensional in this sport - as he also boasts a 1250lbs multi ply squat. His total raw is 2458lbs and his Multi-Ply total is 2805lbs.
To conquer these numbers requires not only a robust body but a mind that refuses to quit in the presence of adversity. Vlad would undergo a very serious knee replacement surgery. For most people, this would be the end of the road, and they would take their doctor's advice and walk off into the sunset with their best days behind them. However, Vlad Alhazov is not most people - he is a champion with an insatiable will to be the best. He would return to the platform...raw. in 2018 AFTER his knee replacement surgery, Vlad would squat a spine crushing 1157lbs (525kg). He was 41 years old when he accomplished this mind-numbing feat of strength. An age where a lot of men have given up on the gym and their goals and settled down into the comfort of complacency. This goes to show the deep waters that Vlad was willing to venture into to engrave his name as a legend in the sport.
His feats of strength stand alone as spectacular, but when you know the adversity he had to come back from, it really provides the context of his strength. He was determined to make up for lost time at a pivotal point during his career, and he did so in spectacular fashion. His remarkable career will withstand the test of time. A husband, father, and legend - Vlad is a lesson in becoming undeniable despite the obstacles in your way.
